Sunday Sunday Sunday!

I can't believe this weekend is almost over! And I did NOTHING...So I thought I would post my goodies from my shopping trip to the LSS two Fridays ago and to HL this past Friday. Got some chipboard, some ribbon, tons of blingage, some thickers and letter stickers and tons of CS and patterned paper. I've been kind of bored this weekend. Web has been busy building a back deck - he's pretty much finished except for the handrails. Ah, the joys of being married to a carpenter. It looks really really nice. Geeee, maybe I should take pics, huh?

Welp, since not much is going on, Colleen tagged me on her blog, so here it is:

A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

10 years ago: I was working at the local bank, living a boring unhappy life.

Things on my to-do list today:

1. finish cleaning kitchen (DONE)
2. go to church (DONE)
3. cook lunch for mom and Don (DONE)
4. wash towels
5. clean off my scrap space
gee, am I a little over zealous today? I think I may need to add 'take a nap'

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire: quit work, spend, spend, spend and give, give , give!

3 of my bad habits:
leaving my wet towel on the bed after I shower
leaving lights on all over the house when I am NOT in the room
I HATE cleaning out my car

3 places I have lived: I have lived in the same town my entire life and on the same property for all but 5 years of my life. During those 5 years, I lived at my stepdad’s house – so there’s two!

5 jobs that I have had:
cashier at Mickey D’s
Rental Agent for A*vis
Mortgage processor
A/P Clerk
Bank teller

5 Things people don't know about me:
My maiden name is Kelly but I am not Irish
I have been married twice
I have *two* tattoos
I’ve never been to a club or bar
I’ve only had two cavities my entire life

okay so I tag Jayme, Kim, and Julie...

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Can I get a WOOP WOOP?!

Today is a great day for me! After 25 days of IV antibiotic therapy, I am DONE!!!!!!!!!! The nurse made it even more official when she showed up to remove my PICC line (the IV thingy). WOOOO HOOOOO!!! I am so happy! Things are definitely starting to get back on track. I have an MRI scheduled for Monday and then a followup the next Monday and hopefully I can start to put this behind me. What an experience this has been.

I haven't done too much this week on the scrapfront....I did go scrappy shopping yesterday at HL - spent double what I had budgeted...oh well..lol I have some ideas flowing - hopefully I can get them onto a page.

Since I don't have any layouts to share this week, thought I would share a recent picture of myself. So this is me right now...I'm very pale I guess because I was so sick - my roots are shining - and my face is very swollen and round due to the steroids I have been on for the last month. (it's actually more swollen now...) But this is me - and I am glad to be here..my outcome could have been so much worse than it was.

Hope you have a scrappy weekend!

a good week.....

Last week turned out pretty good! I went back to work - but not for the full 8 hours. Just taking it easy and easing back into the swing of things. I'm actually going to attempt my usual cleaning routine tomorrow - yay...lol

Did I tell you that I was asked to join a Critique Group? My best pal Mel invited me to join the For Scrap's Sake CG/COF and I am loving it! It's such a great group of ladies - all so nice, funny and talented scrappers. I am glad to be a part of their group! We are having a blast! We have a challenge twice a month and some other fun things going on.

Doing the challenges has been fun! This week's challenge was to scrap the town/city we live in. Believe me, it was a challenge! There's nothing exciting or great about the little town where I live. It's a pretty boring place. But I finally got it pulled together:Products Used: Jenni Bowlin pps and journaling sticker, Bazzill CS, Heidi Swapp bling, Marcella K chipboard, misc lace and twill
Journaling reads:
Welcome to Hilliard, FL - pop. 3800. We are 35 miles north of Jacksonville and 8 mile south of the Georgia state line. Yes, it's a small town - everyone knows everyone - we support our local businesses and High School teams. We have one red light, a grocery store and one fast food place. You will see a lot of pickup trucks and people dressed in camouflage year round. This is my home and I will never leave! I love it here!

Here's another one I did on Friday as a scraplift of my friend Mel:
Products Used: DCWV All Dressed Up Stack, Prima flowers, Fancy Pants Chipboard, Bazzill CS, Misc Ribbon, HL letters, Stickles in Silver

and here's one I did a while back but never got posted:
I found the old pics of AJ and just had to scrap one! I have more I want to do, too!

I think I am ready for bed. I am going to try to get back into updating this blog more than I have been. I just got out of it with being in the hospital - just taking me a while to get back into it.

Have a great week!

xoxoxo,
D
